Inspiration

by on Jul.26, 2010, under Poems

Inspired by a girl I met from Sierra Leone, West Africa. She was enslaved there once.
————————————————————————————-

Locked inside a pigment of her imagination,

A speck of hope for a train to stop at her station,

Her shackles tell us the story of her past,

An eternal struggle until she breathes her last.

by on Nov.14, 2009, under Thoughts

If the words “tere”, “tum”, “tu” etc. could be simply replaced by “aap”, “aapke”, “hum” and such..use language that reflects your culture, not your ignorance. Address your fellow civilians as “aap”. By doing this you are not only showing respect to the other person, but are also encouraging yourself to treat him/her with more respect.
