The Unsigned Epitaph

Veiled behind the darkness no light reaches his eyes,

Every time he sees her, his iron heart cries,

She looks at him, her thoughts unchanged,

He wonders where her love had waned

Hidden behind a shield of ignorance to suffering she was blind,

No matter how much he searched, it was vision he could never find,

She glimpsed at him for one last time before confirming the harness,

Just another shadow in the darkness.

Necropolis

Down the muddy path he walked towards the desolate cemetery,

A picture he saw, scoured in his memory,

He dreamed of days he had spent beside her,

Awakened by the sting of reality, his vision had begun to blur

He saw silhouettes in the distance, hearing cries from the undead,

The icy wind against his brow, a frozen tear he shed,

He bent down solemnly, for her company did he crave,

Placing the flowers down, beside her immortal grave.
